A Diverse, Relevant Program for Today’s Leaders
LBC | Capital’s Master of Divinity (MDiv) program is not the degree of decades ago. Today’s relevant program is designed for both ministry leaders and pastors. Plus, our online or hybrid formats (a blend of online + in class) allow you to stay connected to your family, congregation and community while earning your degree.
At LBC | Capital, you’ll experience a diverse learning environment, with your classes consisting of men and women of all ages and ethnicities, plus those working and serving in both urban and suburban settings.
What Makes Our MDiv Program Unique?
- Grounded in LBC | Capital Values. Ministry leaders lead out of who they are and are becoming. Our commitment is to integrate healthy spiritual formation for the purpose of developing spiritual, emotional and physical health in the personal and professional lives of ministry leaders.
- Reflective Practice. Ministry leaders need to both think and do well. Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid biblical and theological foundation, the tools to continue to explore and apply Scripture as lifelong learners, and the knowledge and skills necessary for the work of ministry.
- Cultural Awareness. Ministry leaders must be prepared for contexts that are diverse and rapidly changing. We are committed to developing students who are aware of their context and who can exegete culture as well as Scripture.
- Incredible Concentration Options. With more than a dozen areas of concentration, students can essentially design their own program according to their passions and ministry goals, with 18-21 credits uniquely tailored to students. Just a few concentrations include: Bible Exposition, Christian Apologetics, Christian Care, Formational Leadership, Leadership Studies and Pastoral Studies, to name a few. Opportunities for internships, travel or research to prepare for future doctoral studies also individualize the MDiv program.
