The Trust Performing Arts Center will again partner with Lancaster International Piano Festival (LIPF) during the 2023-24 Arts & Culture season for three concerts featuring some of the world’s best musicians.
The second LIPF concert is set for 7:30 p.m. March 16 at The Trust Performing Arts Center’s Great Hall at 37 N. Market St. in Lancaster featuring pianist Tanya Gabrielian.
Tickets are available at lancastertrust.com or lbc.edu/events.
Gabrielian has been hailed by the London Times as a “pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle.” She has captivated audiences worldwide and performed at various acclaimed venues including Carnegie Hall in New York. Her passion for piano was born out of a tragic accident that opened her eyes to the beauty and power of music to bring encouragement and hope. Since then, she has committed her life to bringing the joy of music to people across the world.
Gabrielian’s concert repertoire will include selections from Rachmaninoff, Bartok and Siloti.
The first concert in the LIPF series was this past October, featuring Tianxu An, an outstanding, award-winning young pianist who is sought after both at home in China and around the world.
The LIPF 2023-24 series will conclude at 7:30 p.m. May 4 with the Elaris Duo, who has been praised by Fanfare Magazine as being “exceptional artists and interpreters.” The husband-and-wife due will be joined by Steinway Artist Xun Pan to perform Mendelssohn’s “Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor” and Brahms’ “Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major.”

The Trust Performing Arts Center is an architecturally stunning venue for music, theatre, dance, lectures and community events in the heart of Lancaster’s downtown arts district. In 1912, the Lancaster Trust Company completed construction on its new headquarters—a Beaux-Arts masterpiece from the imagination of Lancaster’s leading architect, C. Emlen Urban. A century later, Mr. Urban’s architectural treasure has been re-imagined by Lancaster Bible College as The Trust Performing Arts Center. The Trust has a mission to honor God by encouraging excellence in the work of student and professional artists and by enriching the community through inspiring, challenging and redemptive experiences.
