Often in winter, when the cold temperatures and gray skies seem never-ending, it’s good to be reminded that the sun always rises, that the green shoots always break through the frozen ground, that spring is right around the corner and that Christ’s mercies are new every day.
Read through these eight Scriptures whenever you need a reminder about the renewal and rebirth that is promised in God’s Word (ESV).

“He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”

they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.”
Ephesians 4:22-24
“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Romans 12:2
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
2 Corinthians 4:16

Exodus 34:10
“And he said, ‘Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.’”
