Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School has been around for a long time – since 1933, in fact – and while a lot of things haven’t changed, some things certainly have. Here are eight fun facts about LBC.
1. Our first location wasn’t at 901 Eden Road.
When Lancaster Bible College first opened its doors – called Lancaster School of the Bible then – it was located on West Orange Street in downtown Lancaster city and had fewer than 10 daytime students when the doors first opened.
2. We also have locations in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia.
Yes, you read that right! Lancaster Bible College also has a strong and growing presence in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Our Washington D.C. location offers accelerated undergraduate programs, seminary and graduate programs, while our Philadelphia location offers only accelerated undergraduate degrees. You can learn more about those sites, what degrees they offer and more by visiting their webpages. Click here for Washington D.C. and here for Philadelphia.
3. We partner with an organization in Kampala, Uganda, to equip African pastors.
The Pastors Discipleship Network in Kampala, Uganda, is run by former Compassion child and LBC | Capital doctoral graduate, Richmond Wandera. This organization exists to “train and equip African pastors to study, practice and teach God’s word accurately.” Through our partnership, these pastors can earn a Master of Arts in Ministry degree from the college.
