Lancaster Bible College offers students enrolled in online undergraduate programs the opportunity to earn up to 30 semester hours of Life Experience Credits (LEC) – also known as Credit for Prior Learning.
Life Experience Credit is documented adult (post-high school) learning that happened outside the traditional college classroom. The credit is awarded based on the learning that resulted from the experience – not the experience itself.
Eligible documented prior learning can happen through events such as:
Life Experience Credits will be reviewed by an LBC Faculty member to determine documented learning and appropriate credit allocation.
To begin your LEC assessment,
Once credits are approved students will be billed for the review process and for the awarded credits. This cost is at a reduced tuition rate. Life Experience Credits can save you both time and money.
This step should only be completed after speaking with an online admissions counselor.
During the admission process, students can receive a calculation of their potential LEC credits, based on their program enrollment requirements and transfer credits.
Important Note: LBC cannot guarantee that Life Experience or Credit for Prior Learning will be transferred to other institutions.
