What is the timeline from application to starting classes?

Lancaster Bible College operates on a rolling admissions basis, meaning you can apply at any time. Once your application is complete and you’ve been accepted, you can begin classes at the start of the next available subterm. Online undergraduate courses run in eight-week subterms, but enrollment closes two weeks before each subterm begins. Your admissions counselor can help you determine your exact start date.

What courses will I take?

Each student’s path to completing their degree is unique and depends on the college courses they are transferring into the program. After reviewing your transcripts, your admissions counselor will determine how many credits you need and help you develop a personalized course plan.

How much time should I plan to spend on my course each week?

Each online course is eight (8) weeks in length. The general rule:  Students should plan to spend 16 hours per week per course in study, preparation for class and completing assignments.

Will my professional work, ministry and other life experience count for any credit?

Students may be eligible for Life Experience Credits; up to 21 credits for an Associate’s degree or up to 30 for a Bachelors degree. The number of potential Life Experience Credits is based on the degree and number of transfer credits A one-time portfolio fee is assessed for this evaluation along with a per-credit fee. This is done after a student begins the program.

  • Complete the FAFSA (at fafsa.ed.gov) to determine your eligibility for grants and scholarships from LBC or the government.

Is Lancaster Bible College accredited?

LBC is nationally and regionally accredited through the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), respectively. The degrees received through the online undergraduate program are comparable to those awarded to graduates in on-campus undergraduate programs. Credits earned at LBC are generally transferable to other colleges.

Will credits I have from other schools transfer in to LBC?

An official transcript is needed to determine what you have taken and how many credits from other institutions may be transferred in to LBC.

Where do I send my official transcripts?

Transcripts should be sent to LBC directly from the degree-granting institution(s) via email to admissions@lbc.edu or mailed (in a sealed envelope) to: Admissions, Lancaster Bible College, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
